  • Basic Home Repair

    Save money by learning how to do some of the most common home repairs yourself. Emphasis on toilets, faucets, tubular drainage and basic electrical. Class is lecture-style and will include instructor demonstrations. All Community Education participants are required to follow SPPS COVID guidelines (https://www.spps.org/safelearningplan), and all other communicated health and safety expectations. Failure to do so could result in removal from the class/program. SPPS currently requires masks for all people in a school setting (ages 2 and older), including all teachers, staff, students and visitors, regardless of vaccination status, unless they have a qualifying exemption. This includes (but is not limited to) indoor fitness classes and during culinary classes when not eating or drinking.

    Learn to do basic home electrical wiring repairs. We'll cover the different types of wire and circuit breakers, light switches and wall receptacles and how to replace them; and wire three different types of circuits and learn how to test them.     Demystify the mighty microgreen! Learn how this quick-growing vegetable and herb seedlings can be grown indoors all year round. Microgreens are great in salads and other dishes, and perfect for use in winter when you're craving fresh greens. This class is being offered using the Zoom online platform.     Caring for indoor plants is a little different than caring for outdoor plants. With a little special care and consideration, you can keep your indoor plants healthy and avoid common problems.     Join Ramsey County Master Gardeners and learn the science of how time spent in nature helps to improve our physical and mental well-being.
