    Inspired by the rippling waters of the land of 10,000 lakes, Allianz Field is a dynamic icon for the city of Saint Paul and the state as a whole. During your guided 75-minute tour of Allianz Field, you will experience and learn about areas of the stadium many guests don’t get to see. These spaces may include the BMW Field Club, the Atomic Data Suite Level, Press Conference Room, Midfield Tunnel and so much more. Tour will begin at Allianz Field, 400 Snelling Ave N. Premium Entrance. Guests are welcome to park in surface Lots B and C located on the West side of Allianz Field. Comfortable walking shoes are recommended.   • Belwin Conservancy: Amphibians & Reptiles of Minnesota

    Minnesota is home to a number of amphibians and reptiles and some of these call the Belwin Conservancy home. Hike this beautiful and diverse area to seek out the reptiles and amphibians that live here. We will discuss their life cycles, explore their habitats, and discover what makes these animals so special. Prepare to hike on trail and off for a good share of the time. Closed toed hiking shoes or rubber boots, long pants, tick protection, and a water bottle are highly recommended.   • Belwin Conservancy: Take a Walk on the Wild Side - Native Prairie Plants

    Explore the prairie of Belwin Conservancy and immerse yourself in the late summer colors and textures of the restored Oak Savanna at the Creative Center. Our walk will focus on unique characteristics of prairie flowers and grasses as well as cultural and natural history of the prairie landscape. Bring binoculars if you have them. Wearing comfortable hiking footwear, long pants for tick protection and bring water is recommended.     Hike around the Bulrush Slough of Belwin Conservancy as we listen for the amazing sounds of spring. Dress for the weather, wear all terrain footwear, and bring water is recommended.     Experience the legendary Cemetery Walking Tour visiting various cemeteries, reviewing the history of early Saint Paul and the men and women who made it happen. Please note there are no bathrooms and transportation is on your own between the multiple locations visited. Tour Activity Rating: 4 (Demanding - extensive walking/stairs/standing) First Night: Meet at the East Gate of Calvary Cemetery, 753 Front Avenue, Saint Paul, MN 55103. (the open gate on Front Street) Second Night: Meet at Oakland Cemetery, 927 Jackson Street, Saint Paul, MN 55117. (Meet in the parking lot by the office at Oakland Cemetery) Third Night: Meet at Temple Mount Zion Cemetery, 1670 Payne Avenue, St Paul, MN 55117.     Within just a few square miles in Saint Paul's Summit Hill neighborhood, F. Scott Fitzgerald met people and experienced things that would shape his life and career as a writer. Fitzgerald lived in other cities during his lifetime, but it was Saint Paul that he revisited in his writing time and time again. Come stroll this historic neighborhood to hear and see how he spent his formative years - from his prep school education to learning the waltz to bringing his new baby home from the hospital. Tour will begin from: 25 North Dale, St Paul 55102, one block north of Summit Avenue. Participants must be able to walk approximately 3 miles on fairly flat terrain without places to sit.   • Gardens In Bloom

    Live life in full bloom, literally! We’ll start with daylilies of all colors and styles at Springwood Gardens in Jordan, MN, before heading to the beauty and serenity of Normandale Community College’s Japanese Garden. Then it’s off to the Lakewood Cemetery, known for the notable people who are buried there, but also for over 50 formal gardens and 95,000 flowers! Lunch will be on your own at Southdale Center.   • Immigration and the (Re)Making of Saint Paul's East Side - Walking Tour

    Examine the role of immigration in the making and remaking of St. Paul's East Side over the last 150 years. Explore Swede Hollow and its role as the first site of settlement in the 1850s, Then onto Payne Avenue, a center of immigrant life from Swedish, Italian, and German immigrants of the 19th century, to the Hmong, Mexican, and Salvadoran immigrants of the late 20th and early 21st centuries.     Want to try a fat tire bike? Of course you do! These stable easy to ride fat tire bikes can be used on a wide variety of surfaces including snow, sand, and trails. This introductory level class is designed to show participants with little bike riding experience how much fun fat tire bikes can be. Bring a helmet if you own one or one will be provided.   • Introduction to Kayaking

    Explore the sport of kayaking as you discover basic strokes, kayaking safety, and boat/equipment selection. Most of our time will be spent out on the water paddling and getting comfortable in the boats. A certified instructor will be along to provide instruction and answer all your questions. No experience is required and all equipment is included.     Paddle boarding is a great way to get some exercise while out on the water, and easier than you think! Receive instruction, and spend most of the class out on paddle boards. A qualified instructor from Wargo Nature Center will be along to provide instruction and answer all your questions. No experience is required and all equipment is included.   • Memorials and Monuments: Minnesota State Capitol Grounds Walking Tour

    Visit the Cass Gilbert State Capitol grounds; a mall of memorials, sculptures, carved walkways and hidden treasures. Hear stories not told in books, but brought to life through art with bronze, woven metal trellises, spiraling pyramids, paving stones and hammered steel. This tour is of the grounds only; we will not be going inside the Capitol. Tour will begin from the steps of the Minnesota State Capitol: 75 Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr Blvd, Saint Paul, MN 55155. Most of the walking tour is on paved walkways, and please note there are very few places to sit.   • Mendota Walking Tour

    Stroll through early Minnesota History with a walking tour of the City of Mendota. Learn about the geological history of the land and also the abundant wildlife that finds its home there. We'll learn about the Native American history of the area through the early European-American settlers up to the present day. And take in historic sites including St. Peter's Catholic Church, the Sibley Historic Site, and the main street buildings of Mendota. Tour will cover approximately 1.5 - 2 miles. Wear good hiking shoes as the banks of the river can be muddy.     Ride the vintage train along the beautiful St. Croix River valley! Our ride will take us from Osceola along the beautiful St. Croix River valley. See waterfalls, wildlife, native vegetation, and golden sandstone bluffs. Experience railroading history. A Turkey sandwich box lunch will be served on board as we travel along the valley. Stroll through downtown and discuss the local impact of Prohibition, when Saint Paul was a hot spot for bootleggers and familiar landmarks took on a new life.     Experience the unique tastes and unforgettable charm of historic downtown Hudson, WI during this three-hour guided tour. Discover Hudson’s rich history, stroll along the banks of the scenic St. Croix River and make stops at six popular downtown destinations. Sample nearly a dozen (food and drink) tastings including authentic German, Latin-inspired and classic American dishes. Enjoy a fun craft cocktail tasting and demonstration at Pedro’s del Este and try stunning desserts at the newly-opened St. Croix Baking Company.
