  • Fondue Fun!

    It's always the right time for fondue! Make a fabulous family feast or impress your guests with a tasty party spread. Create savory and sweet fondues from around the world. Invented in the 18th century as a way to utilize hardened cheese and bread, the Swiss melted cheese, added wine and dunked bread cubes into the mixture. The name itself came from the French work "fonder" which means to melt. On the menu: Traditional Cheese, Classic Swiss Cheese, Beef Bourguignonne, Crab, Blue Cheese and Tempura. Of course, we'll dunk delectable tidbits of fruit, cake or brownies in wonderful dessert fondues - Flavored Chocolate fondues plus Butterscotch fondue. And we will make a variety of sauces and dips to round out the menu.   • Fun & Fancy Cupcakes

    Come learn some basic decorating skills to make beautiful cupcakes including Hydrangeas and Roses. We will use a few fancy flower tips as well. Each student will take home a box of 12 decorated cupcakes.   • Great Minnesota Hot Dishes

    The MN hot dish (elsewhere called a casserole) is a one-dish supper (or side dish) baked in your oven with a single piece of cookware. Use fresh ingredients (no canned soups) to create easily prepared family meals or crowd-pleasing recipes for a potluck. AND there is minimal dishwashing! You betcha! Join us to create up to 15 sensational dishes including: Beef, Pork and Sauerkraut; Pork Loin with Dried Apricots and Cherries; Beef and Spinach (or Broccoli); Eggplant and Cheese, Chicken Cobbler with Carrots, Mushrooms and Peas; Lentils and Vegetables; and Baked Penne Pasta with Chicken, Broccoli and Mushrooms just to name a few. Many of these hot dishes can be made ahead, chilled then baked. Our recipes are enhanced by a blend of diverse ethnic influences to create a sensational food, easy to prepare, a pleasure to serve and delight to eat.     Need some creative ways to include the necessary greens in your diet during cold? Well, learn three ways, including a popular Ayurvedic cleansing dish, Khichdi in your life and in your bodies.     Hmong egg rolls are a must at family events! Learn how to mix the perfect filling and wrap a beautiful egg roll. Each week Kirsten demonstrates a different aspect of pressure cooking including; how a pressure cooker works, cooking with frozen meats, all-in-one meals and pot-in-pot cooking. Handouts offer additional recipes beyond what is demonstrated during class, not to mention plenty of time for Q&A and sharing how we’ve used our Pots since the previous class.
