    For students with a USCF rating or ChessKid.com rating (fast or slow) of 1200 or more. National Master Nathan Hoover Will provide in-depth training on end games (minor piece, King and pawn, Rook, and even Queen endings); openings, and analysis of master level chess games. Each week we'll bring our favorite movie characters to life and experience some of their most exciting adventures as we travel through their worlds. We'll even tinker with engineering, architecture and problem-solving skills while we create and play our way through the week! *Each engineer will need roughly 1 gallon Ziploc bag’s worth of loose LEGO bricks.     Grades 1-5. Come explore the Pokémon world and practice Pokémon training skills! Create your own training gyms, unique battles, and even your very own generation of Pokémon. Explore some real-world science as you examine the habitats, characteristics, and needs of different Pokémon. Come catch ‘em all, and build and examine them all very closely and have a blast doing so. *Each engineer will need roughly 1 gallon Ziploc bag’s worth of loose LEGO bricks.   • Rocket Designers - Online Course

    Grades 3-5. Have you ever dreamed of launching a rocket into the sky? How about with materials you can find in your own home? Then this this is the class for you! Come learn how to build a real rocket with common materials that can be found in a recycling bin! Home built rockets are cheap to make so it removes the anxiety of “doing it wrong”. Build it and see what happens (within the rules of model rocketry). A curbside rocket kit with starter supplies to complete one rocket is included in the fee. A “distancing” rocket launch with one engine will be scheduled with the participants.* *This camp requires a kit to be picked up Thursday, October 1st BEFORE class at 1780 7th St W, St Paul, MN 55116. Pick up time will be between 11:30- 1:30pm. Without the kit, you will not be able to participate in the class. Play various escape games that will take you into the most exciting fantasy places and require you to use your various skills and abilities skills to finish each game!
