Accessible Gymnastics
Gymnastics class for participants with developmental disabilities. This class is designed for youth, ages 6-10, who require a smaller class size with more individual attention. We will work on body awareness, stretching and movement. Everything will be based on the individual's abilities. Parent/Guardian participation encouraged. All Community Education participants are required to follow SPPS COVID guidelines (https://www.spps.org/safelearningplan), and all other communicated health and safety expectations. Failure to do so could result in removal from the class/program. -

Advanced

All Abilities Dancing: Hip-Hop
Grades 1-5. Youth living with and without disabilities will have the opportunity to express themselves through movement in a supportive, community-minded environment. You will find your voice and style through the lens of Hip Hop, gaining skills through technique and confidence in freestyling. Dancers will explore a breadth of styles (breaking, popping, locking, house) and get a glimpse into the history of the genre and its evolution. This high-energy class centers positive body awareness, creativity, teamwork, motor coordination, and personal expression. Community Ed is not able to provide PCA level care or 1 on 1 assistance. If your dancer needs this type of care, adults and caregivers are more than welcome to join the class. Baby-Sitter's Training
Ages 11-14. The Safe Sitter® program prepares you to be safe when you're home alone or babysitting. Become the most sought-after baby-sitter in your neighborhood as you gain childcare techniques like: basic first aid, CPR and how to call for help in an emergency. Bring a (nut free) bag lunch. Beginner I
Ages 5-14 with little or no previous gymnastic experience. Learn the basics of floor exercise, uneven bars, balance beam, vault and dance. Failure to do so could result in removal from the class/program. -
Beginner II
Ages 5-14 with a minimum of 2 sessions previous gymnastic experience. Learn more of the basics of floor exercise, uneven bars, balance beam, vault and dance. CAHOOTS: Entering 1-6
Cahoots is a summer program, designed to support learning and reflection skills. Memorable characters--Hoots, Boots, Marina, Stevie and Walter--guide your child through a self-paced review of the school year. Their Reflection Buddy provides encouragement and responses to your child's work. When registering, families are encouraged to order the grade level their child will enter in the Fall. Materials are available for youth entering grades 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 and 6. When you enroll in Cahoots, your child will receive: A fun, 8-lesson workbook to help review Math and Language Arts material from the school year. Weekly reflections and a reflection buddy. A game board and game piece to track progress. A completion prize. Sliding Fee: Our sliding scale model for program pricing ensures that our high-quality enrichment classes are more accessible to our community members. Entering grades 1-5. Ready to run the show? Explore script writing, costume design, and stage production as you work together to put on a show-stopping performance at the end of the week. Day Camp: To Game or Not to Game
Entering grades 1-5. Boom, Pow, Zap!!! Made it to another level? You got your next gold star. For Minecraft builders, Pokemon catchers, Fortnite fans and total noobs. This camp is off screen, so put down your controller and get ready to play games IRL. Meet fellow gamers, design content and use your imagination to bring your favorite levels to life. Driver Education
The Basics: Students must be 15 years of age by the first day of class. • Parent/guardian permission is required to take the Driver Education Course. • Course consists of State-required 30 hours of classroom instruction and six hours of behind-the-wheel lessons. • Students are required to attend all 30 consecutive hours of classroom instruction. The classroom prepares students for the written permit test. After successful completion of classroom instruction, students receive their Blue Card and have 18 months to obtain a driver’s permit and complete the behind-the-wheel portion of the program. • Students are required to have their permit for six months, complete six hours of behind-the-wheel lessons, complete and log 40-50 hours of supervised driving, and be 16 years of age before they are eligible to take the road test for a driver's license. • Refunds, minus a $75 cancellation fee, will be issued upon request for cancellation. Driver Education - Online Class + BTW

Courses Cancellation Fees: Refunds, minus a $75 cancellation fee, will be issued upon request for the course. Driver Education with A+ Driving School
A+ Driving School Registration Requirements Please read thoroughly as A+ requires additional agreements. 1. This contract expires 2 years from the first day of classroom training or when the student turns 18, whichever occurs first. All classes and BTW lessons must be completed before the expiration date. Any refund must be requested in writing before the expiration date. 2. The first BTW lesson must be completed within the first four months from the date the student received their permit. 3. You can only schedule 1 BTW lesson at a time and the student should practice for at least 1 month between lessons. 4. This agreement constitutes the entire contract between the school and the student/parent. No verbal statements or promises will be recognized. Level 1: Fearful Swimmer
-For children 5-10 years old who have anxiety or are fearful of the water. Gain confidence in the water and work on floating, gliding, kicking, and learn the basics of front crawl, back crawl, and elementary back stroke. Swimmers will be supported and assisted by the instructor for most skills. Locker rooms will be available for changing out of swim attire after class. Showers will be available. Please come prepared to swim and free of lotions, and other body and hair products. All Community Education participants are required to follow SPPS COVID guidelines (https://www.spps.org/safelearningplan), and all other communicated health and safety expectations. Failure to do so could result in removal from the class/program. -
Level 2
Level 2 --For children 5-10 years old and have completed Level 1 or have equivalent skills. Swimmers must be comfortable in the water and will work on floating, gliding, front crawl, back crawl, and elementary backstroke.
