1/2 Day Nature-based Pre-K
Create your own pumpkin patch without ever getting your hands dirty. Create a 4.5-inches wide pumpkin using worsted weight yarn. Once knitted we will put our pumpkins together and embellish the stem, leaf , blossom, and vine. Participants must know how to knit on double point needles and in the round. This class has a supply list.
Materials needed for class:
Color A yarn (pumpkin): 55 yds of orange #4 worsted weight yarn
Color B yarn (stem & leaf): 7 yds green #4 worsted weight yarn
US size 4 / 3.5 mm set of double point needles
Stitch marker
Tapestry needle
Polyester fiberfill
Felting needle, any gauge
Marie is a knitting pattern designer with a line of 30 patterns and kits. She has taught knitting for 15 years, mainly from her line of patterns. Some of other skills are embellishing techniques on felting projects using beading, needle felting, embroidery and applique. Marie's book "Whimsical Woollies", highlights 20 projects with a extensive felting and embellishing section.
