SPPS Community Education offers a variety of classes designed for adults with developmental disabilities to explore interests, meet with peers, have fun and learn new skills!
School Age Child Care
Where families learn & grow together.
1/2 Day Nature-based Pre-K
Ages 3-5. Experiment with water properties and density with household objects. Uncover the importance of size, weight, and shape in developing your hypotheses for floatability. Use your engineering skills to build your own stable mini boat to carry a load. Participants should be comfortable without their adult in the room.
Sliding Fees: Our model for program pricing ensures that our high-quality enrichment classes are more accessible to our community members. We encourage participants to choose the price that they are able to pay. This structure helps our programs be financially sustainable and more equitable.
Alicia finds so much joy in working with young children and is inspired by the curiosity and excitement they bring to everything. She worked as a classroom teacher for kindergarten and Pre-K for 10 years, seven of those being in SPPS. She loves helping children explore, create, and fall in love with learning!
Alicia lives in Saint Paul with her husband and son, and can be found walking or riding bikes through the city, playing at playgrounds, or enjoying ice cream at Nellies, Cold Front, or Two Scoops.
