Intro to Junk Journaling

Classes for Adults / Art & Music -
Summer 2025-Adult

Junk journaling uses both personal and recycled materials to mark memories. Learn pamphlet construction, binding, paper selection, and creative techniques like adding pockets or tuck spots. Great for anyone interested in creative journaling. Supplies provided for the first class. Items from home can be brought on weeks 2 and 3.

Christine Marie Perrin Shyne

Christine Shyne has been a lifelong lover of paper and books - especially old ones! It was eight years ago, however, when she began to put those together with her love of crafting and using recycled materials to make creative journals for a multitude of uses from art journals, to memory keeping, written journals, or even planning or bullet journals. She has participated in local farmer’s markets and several St. Paul Art Crawls. Shyne recently created Art in Community, a group that supports, collaborates, and works to create more opportunities for artists to create work and be seen. You can find out more about Shyne on her website: www.thirdflooroddities.com.
