Joanne Simons is an educator and an entrepreneur who works with business owners and individuals that are thinking of starting a business to help them plan, market, and manage their companies effectively and profitably. She has developed special expertise in small business marketing -- developing a practical, simple, effective marketing approach that can be adopted successfully by the most timid marketers. She has taught in the Small Business Management program in several state technical colleges, and for the past 20 years trained almost 600 people across the Twin Cities in small business management, marketing, finance, and planning for an economic development organization. Joanne holds a Master’s Degree in Journalism-Mass Communication from the University of Minnesota and Bachelor’s Degree in English German from Hamline University. She has also been a certified instructor in Small Business Management in the MnSCU Technical College system
