Discovery Club School Age Child Care
Where families learn & grow together.
1/2 Day Nature-based Pre-K
One adult and one child, ages 5-15. Register under the name of the child attending. Slow down, engage your senses, and explore the natural world with your favorite kiddo. Capture discoveries through words, numbers, and drawings while strengthening your connection with nature and each other.
Bring a journal and your preferred writing tools--pens, pencils, and/or paints-- and dress for the outdoors.
Tour Activity Rating: 3 Walking, moderate distances with some steps and/or stairs.
Emily has a background in environmental education teaching pre-K to high school students in forests, prairies, and wetlands throughout the Midwest. During graduate school Emily studied the relationship between people, nature, and place and the well-being outcomes of nature journaling. Emily enjoys creating meaningful experiences outdoors that inspire curiosity and connect people to nature.
