Classes for Youth / Driver Education -
Winter 2026- Youth

The Basics:

Get ready to hit the road with SPPS Community Education!

This comprehensive course, taught by highly trained licensed classroom instructors, includes 30 hours of state-required classroom instruction and 6 hours of hands-on behind-the-wheel lessons. Students must be 15 years old by the first day of class and attend all 30 hours of classroom instruction consecutively to best prepare students for the written permit test.

  • hold your permit for at least 6 months,
  • complete 6 hours of behind-the-wheel training,
  • log 40-50 hours of supervised driving
  • and be 16 years old before you can take the road test.

Refunds, minus a $100 cancellation fee, will be issued upon request for course cancellation if requested more than three-business days prior. We are unable to issue refunds for requests received after that time.
