Discovery Club School Age Child Care
Where families learn & grow together.
1/2 Day Nature-based Pre-K
Slow down, engage your senses, and observe the natural world. Capture your discoveries through words, numbers, and drawings as you deepen your connection with nature.
Gather as as group in the Savanna Center, then we'll walk through Belwin's Oak Savanna.
Bring a journal and your preferred writing utensils (pens, pencils, and/or paints) to record your observations. Dress for the outdoors.
Tour Activity Rating: 3 Walking, moderate distances with some steps and/or stairs.
Emily has a background in environmental education teaching pre-K to high school students in forests, prairies, and wetlands throughout the Midwest. During graduate school Emily studied the relationship between people, nature, and place and the well-being outcomes of nature journaling. Emily enjoys creating meaningful experiences outdoors that inspire curiosity and connect people to nature.
