Waitlist55+ Discount Driving RefresherDriving Classes for 55+For motorists 55 years of age and older. Explore changes in traffic laws and traffic safety, the latest vehicle technology, and easy-to-use defensive driving and accident-prevention tips. Completion of this courses will produce a 10% decrease in your car insurance. The 8-hour course is required for first-time students; the 4-hour refresher is required every three years thereafter. All classes taught by the Minnesota Highway Safety & Research Center. These 4-hour Refresher courses are for those who have already completed the 8-hour Driver Safety course. Certificates will be issued to those completing the course. "All Community Education participants are required to follow SPPS COVID guidelines (https://www.spps.org/safelearningplan), and all other communicated health and safety expectations. AdamsDiscovery ClubDiscovery Club provides out-of-school time Child Care in a safe, fun, nurturing environment that supports children's learning and development. Children participate in a variety of academic enrichment, recreational and cultural activities that informally support learning and social development. Life and social skills, such as cooperation, teamwork, and problem solving are fostered in a caring and accepting environment. Additionally, Discovery Club staff connect with school-day teachers to better support children's learning, including time for homework. PopularBelwin Conservancy: Amphibians & Reptiles of MinnesotaTrips & TraveloguesMinnesota is home to a number of amphibians and reptiles and some of these call the Belwin Conservancy home. Hike this beautiful and diverse area to seek out the reptiles and amphibians that live here. We will discuss their life cycles, explore their habitats, and discover what makes these animals so special. Prepare to hike on trail and off for a good share of the time. Closed toed hiking shoes or rubber boots, long pants, tick protection, and a water bottle are highly recommended. Our walk will focus on unique characteristics of prairie flowers and grasses as well as cultural and natural history of the prairie landscape. Bring binoculars if you have them. Wearing comfortable hiking footwear, long pants for tick protection and bring water is recommended.
