    -For children 5-10 years old. Gain confidence in the water and work on floating, gliding, kicking, and learn the basics of front crawl, back crawl, and elementary back stroke. Swimmers will be supported and assisted by the instructor for most skills. Locker rooms will be available for changing out of swim attire after class. Showers will not be available. Please come prepared to swim and free of lotions, and other body and hair products. Plan to shower at home after class. Bathrooms will still be available. Swim class participants must be masked unless they are in the water. All Community Education participants are required to follow SPPS COVID guidelines (https://www.spps.org/safelearningplan), and all other communicated health and safety expectations. Failure to do so could result in removal from the class/program. SPPS currently requires masks for all people in a school setting (ages 2 and older), including all teachers, staff, students and visitors, regardless of vaccination status, unless they have a qualifying exemption. This includes (but is not limited to) indoor fitness classes and during culinary classes when not eating or drinking.

    -For children 5-10 years old who have anxiety or are fearful of the water. Swimmers must be comfortable in the water and will work on floating, gliding, front crawl, back crawl, and elementary backstroke. Swimmers will work to complete skills without support or assistance from an instructor. Locker rooms will be available for changing out of swim attire after class. Showers will not be available. Please come prepared to swim and free of lotions, and other body and hair products. Plan to shower at home after class. Bathrooms will still be available. Swim class participants must be masked unless they are in the water.     For children ages 2-4 with a parent in the water. Learn water adjustment skills and have fun in the water. If child is not potty trained, child must wear plastic pants or swim diapers in the pool. No disposable diapers allowed. Locker rooms will be available for changing out of swim attire after class. Showers will not be available. Please come prepared to swim and free of lotions, and other body and hair products. Plan to shower at home after class. Bathrooms will still be available. Swim class participants must be masked unless they are in the water.
