Adult Ballet Fundamentals 2
This is for the adult who has completed Ballet Fundamentals 1 or who is returning after enjoying ballet as a child. Ages 13 and older. -
Adult Ballet Fundamentals 1
This is for the adult with no ballet experience! Learn the basic steps, class etiquette, direction of movement, and more. Ages 13 and older. 7-Week Session meets two times a week, both Mondays AND Wednesdays. Dancers can progress to Fundamentals 2 after completion of this course. -
Adult Beginning Ballet
For the student who enjoyed ballet as a child or has had six months or more of classical ballet classes. Ages 13 and up. -
Adult Intermediate Ballet
For the student with a minimum of one year of classical ballet experience in the recent past. Live piano accompaniment. Ages 13 and older. -
Adult Lifelong Ballet
A gentle ballet class for dancers who are continuing a practice of ballet training for exercise and enjoyment! At least one year of classical ballet experience required. Recommended ages 40+. -
All Around Fitness
All Around Fitness is for everyone. Sessions feature exercise techniques for older adults, including strength training, cardiovascular conditioning, balance and flexibility. Work at your own pace and receive personal attention from a trained instructor. No Class July 4 and July 20. This class has an online option. Joining information will be in your class confirmation notes. All Community Education participants are required to follow SPPS COVID guidelines (https://www.spps.org/safelearningplan), and all other communicated health and safety expectations. Failure to do so could result in removal from the class/program. -
All Around Fitness-Online Course

Beginning Doubles Pickleball
Discover why pickleball is the fastest growing sport in the US! Enjoy exercise while making fun connections. Review the rules, practice basic techniques, and learn about position and strategy. For those new or relatively new to doubles pickleball. Participants need a pickleball paddle. Beginning Pilates-Based Mat Exercise-Online Course
Condition and tone your body with Pilates! Controlled mat exercises create strength, stability and suppleness in the spine while improving abdominal and back strength, posture and balance. Pilates provides stress reduction while enhancing injury prevention. Bring a blanket and mat. Boomer Ballet
Boomer Ballet is a class designed specifically for the 55+ age group. It is based on the Royal Academy of Dance’s “Silver Swans” program which is designed for older learners. Whether you’re an experienced dancer, have briefly dabbled, or are a complete novice, we welcome all older learners of any ability. -
Intermediate Gentle Hatha Yoga: Iyengar Yoga Level I/II -Online Course
Explore the introductory poses in greater depth and focus on breathing practices. It is recommended that students taking this course have six months prior experience with Iyengar yoga. Students will need to have their own props: a yoga mat, belt, three blankets and a chair. See your class confirmation email for more information on joining meetings. -
Intermediate Hatha Yoga: Iyengar Yoga II/III
For students who have completed Beginning and Advanced Beginning Yoga classes and are looking to continue challenging their yoga practice. New poses will be explored. Students will need to have their own props: a yoga mat, belt, three blankets and a chair. -

T'ai Chi Ch'uan
T'ai Chi Ch'uan offers significant health benefits, including low-impact exercise, relaxation, stress-management, flexibility, serenity and balance. Each class consists of three segments: standing Chi Kung, floor seated Chi Kung, and the practice of T'ai Chi forms. Bring a mat. No class July 4th and August 8th. T'ai Chi Ch'uan Advanced Class
T'ai Chi Ch'uan offers significant health benefits, including low-impact exercise, relaxation, stress-management, flexibility, serenity and balance. The advanced class consists of refining the practice of T'ai Chi forms, and learning and improving teaching methods. No class July 4th and August 8th. Prerequisite: Students must demonstrate mastery of the Cheng Man Ching Short Form before registering and instructor's permission. All Community Education participants are required to follow SPPS COVID guidelines (https://www.spps.org/safelearningplan), and all other communicated health and safety expectations. Tap Dance for Wellness, Ages 55+
Designed for adults, ages 55 and up. Build brainpower, bone mass and balance, while exploring the art and culture of American tap dance. This is a low-impact dance class offered in partnership with Keane Sense of Rhythm (KSR). Tap shoes are fun but optional. No class July 4th and July 6th. All Community Education participants are required to follow SPPS COVID guidelines (https://www.spps.org/safelearningplan), and all other communicated health and safety expectations.
