About CLEAR

The CLEAR Program offers a variety of 8-week classes designed to meet the needs of adults with developmental disabilities. Classes offer opportunities to meet with old and new friends, share interests, explore talents and learn new skills!


Classes are held on either Tuesdays or Thursdays, 6:30 – 8:30 p.m. at Bridge View School, 360 Colborne Street, Saint Paul. Doors open at 6:10pm. Register for the season and day of the week you would like to attend, and select your first choice of class on that day of the week.

  • CLEAR Program - Spring 2020

    The CLEAR Program (Community Leisure, Education and Recreation) is an educational program that serves adults with developmental disabilities. CLEAR offers a variety of classes designed to meet the needs of adults with developmental disabilities. Classes offer opportunities to meet with old and new friends, share interests, explore talents and learn new skills. Staff creates a congenial environment to practice the skills necessary for a rich and independent life. Classes are held on either Tuesdays or Thursdays, 6:30 – 8:30 p.m. at Bridge View School, 360 Colborne Street, Saint Paul. Doors open at 6:10 p.m. Register for the day of the week you would like to attend; you will be asked to select your first choice of class on that day of the week. Fees: Tuesday classes cost $36. Thursday classes cost $36. Participants may choose to register for one or both days. There are partial discounts available through UCare if the participant has UCare insurance. To receive this discount registration must be done by calling 651-293-5272. No cancellations once classes have begun. Participants who require one-on-one personal attention for physical and/or behavior issues or medication administration must be supervised by a caregiver. If a behavioral incident occurs a caregiver may be required to accompany the participant to all future activities. Tuesday Class Choices: Bingo! Feeling lucky? Play this popular game at a slow and easy pace. We will help you learn how to mark the lucky numbers on your bingo card. Prizes, fun and winners every night! Cooking for Independence Gain knowledge in how to plan meals and purchase nutritional food, read recipes, measure ingredients and set a pretty table. Emphasis is on building greater independence. Games and Puzzles Learn to play simple board, dice and card games to enjoy with your friends. You will also make your own puzzles to take home. Thursday Class Choices: Arts and Crafts for the Home Enjoy painting and making decorative crafts for your home out of simple materials. Seasonal and gift projects will be made. Bingo! Feeling lucky? Games and Puzzles Learn to play simple board, dice and card games to enjoy with your friends. You will also make your own puzzles to take home. Gumbo Every week we do something different! One night we might cook. Another we’ll have gym. Then maybe we’ll make a craft, dance, watch a movie, or go for a walk. You never know what we’ve got planned, but you do know it will be F-U-N. Come be surprised! Exercise for Everybody! Move and groove to the beat of music as we have fun getting fit! Videos and Movies View and discuss movies with your friends! Selections vary between current, classic, adventure, musical and animation films.
