Experience The Iron Range
Go north to the Iron Range for an indoor/outdoor overnight experience at the Laurentian Environmental Center, which offers access to hundreds of acres of wilderness, trout streams and diverse wildlife habitat. Participate in naturalist-led programs during the afternoon and evening, before spending the night in semi-private cabins. On Friday we head to Hibbing for the Hull Rust Mine View, a 360 degree look at one of the world's largest open pit mines. Lastly, a step-on guide will share stories about the architecture of Hibbing High School, a lavish Tudor Revival building built in the 1920s and coined the "castle in the woods".
Participants will need to bring their own bedding and towels. Full packing list will be provided prior to the tour.
Fee includes: accommodation and 3 homestyle meals at Laurentian Environmental Center, programs and admissions, coffee stop, motorcoach transportation and guides.
