Flower Design Using a Needlepoint (Kenzan)

Kenzans are used in Ikebana, the Japanese art of flower arrangement.  Also known as spikey frogs or needlepoints, the spikes help keep flowers in place by supporting the stems.  Using a kenzan, design your own floral arrangement to take home.  Bring a 3 1/8" kenzan to class, or purchase one from the instructor for an additional $14.

$12 supply fee payable to instructor.

Mary Bejblik

Mary was so intrigued by the floral designs created by a fellow teacher that she began taking classes to learn more about the care, types, and design of fresh floral products. She quickly saw that it incorporated so many facets of math, art, and science that she became hooked. She loves working with the flowers and sharing her knowledge with others.
