American Sign Language 2

Classes for Adults / Language & Writing -
Summer 2023 - Adult

For those who are already proficient with fingerspelling and signing basic words and phrases. Focus on signing proper sentences in ASL by using appropriate classifiers and effectively incorporating time and duration into your sentences. Additional vocabulary and cultural topics are covered throughout.

All Community Education participants are required to follow SPPS COVID guidelines (https://www.spps.org/safelearningplan), and all other communicated health and safety expectations. Failure to do so could result in removal from the class/program.

Travis Sulander

Travis has been working within the Deaf community since 2010—as an ASL Interpreter since 2018—and has been teaching ASL classes since 2017. He loves introducing the hearing community to all things ASL–the signs, culture, community, etiquette, and grammar–while keeping the lessons both educational and entertaining.
