Mendota Walking Tour

Stroll through early Minnesota History with a walking tour of the City of Mendota. Learn about the geological history of the land and also the abundant wildlife that finds its home there. We'll learn about the Native American history of the area through the early European-American settlers up to the present day. And take in historic sites including St. Peter's Catholic Church, the Sibley Historic Site, and the main street buildings of Mendota. Tour covers approximately 1.5 - 2 miles.
Wear good hiking shoes as the banks of the river can be muddy. The tour meets in the public parking lot off of Sibley Memorial Highway, Just north of St Peter's Catholic Church,1405 Sibley Memorial Highway, Mendota Heights, MN 55150. https://goo.gl/maps/JAZhLUMWon7aPkMA6
