Ethiopian food is light, healthy, and flavorful, ranging from very spicy to very mild. It can be addictive both in cooking it as much as eating it. Discover new cooking techniques, exotic spices, and ways to easily pair them with your daily ingredients like beans, lentils, vegetables and meat sautéed with flavored butter, ghee and healthy oils.
All supplies included. Please note dietary restrictions when registering.
All Community Education participants are required to follow SPPS COVID guidelines (https://www.spps.org/safelearningplan), and all other communicated health and safety expectations. Failure to do so could result in removal from the class/program.

Mimi Selam
Mimi Selam is passionate about cooking, especially Ethiopian/Eritrean cuisine. She finds cooking very relaxing and curative beyond it's culinary advantages. She has ample experience in sharing her cooking skills with others and has taught Community Education classes around the Twin Cities metro for several years.
