Samosas, a delicious fried or baked pastry with a savory filling of potatoes, onions and peas, are a popular snack, appetizer or entrée in many parts of the world. Spend an evening on a virtual culinary journey as we make scrumptious samosas plus Nepali-style “aloo pakoras,” a potato fritter-style dish using the same samosa filling.
This class will run through Zoom video conferencing. Please test Zoom on your device before the day of the class. To login to the class, copy and paste the meeting ID into your browser. Ishwari is from Nepal where she grew up cooking for her family since the age of 6. She holds dual master's degrees in Non-Profit Leadership and Gender and Women's Studies. In Nepal she worked for many years in international profit making and nonprofit organizations. In the US, she is involved in nonprofit work and mentors high school girls. Currently, she is pursuing her revived love for cooking. Self named a "lazy good cook", Ishwari has learned tricks to make cooking easier. She will be sharing some of those tips in her classes.
Ishwari has her own business in Ayurvedic healing, beauty and chocolates. She adds the element of healing to her handmade chocolates.
