Introduction to Kayaking


Classes for Adults / Trips & Travelogues -
Summer 2022 - Adult

Explore the sport of kayaking as you discover basic strokes, kayaking safety, and boat/equipment selection. Most of our time will be spent out on the water paddling and getting comfortable in the boats. A certified instructor will be along to provide instruction and answer all your questions. No experience is required and all equipment is included.             

Tour Rating: 3 (Active - able to do some steps and/or standing)

"All Community Education participants are required to follow SPPS COVID guidelines (https://www.spps.org/safelearningplan), and all other communicated health and safety expectations. Failure to do so could result in removal from the class/program."

Todd Murawski

Todd has been teaching outdoor recreation classes for more than 20 years. He has been instructing bicycling classes for more than 20 years, including single track/ off trail fat tire biking classes.  He is certified in kayak and paddling sports like paddle boarding through ACA (American Canoe Association).
