Explore deep-frying basics, yeasted dough, and templates for basic donut recipes. These recipes are a springboard for customizing creations any way that suits you. Varieties include: raised glazed donuts, filled donuts, cake donuts with chocolate and blueberry glazes, apple fritters, and churros.
All Community Education participants are required to follow SPPS COVID guidelines (https://www.spps.org/safelearningplan), and all other communicated health and safety expectations. Failure to do so could result in removal from the class/program. SPPS currently requires masks for all people in a school setting (ages 2 and older), including all teachers, staff, students and visitors, regardless of vaccination status, unless they have a qualifying exemption. This includes (but is not limited to) indoor fitness classes and during culinary classes when not eating or drinking.
Kat Nelson has worked as a chef and cook in Twin Cities restaurants for over 10 years. She currently owns and operates Ingrid Lime’s, a cottage foods business that sells bread, pastries, and hot sauce at local farmer’s markets. This is her first time teaching with St. Paul Community Education.
