Beginner's Guide To Building a Free Website - Online Course

Classes for Adults / Business & Technology -
Winter 2021 - Adult

If you are self employed or want to be, you need a website - and building one is easier than you think!  This hands-on class will result in your own simple website, ready to launch and grow using free online options. We'll talk about what you need to include, how to easily create content, and tips to put it all together.

Class will use the website builders Weebly and Square up, focusing on the free versions offered by these platforms, along with their transactional accounts.  Paid upgrade options are available with these builders but are not required to create a spectacular website. No coding or previous website experience necessary.

This class is being offered using the Zoom online platform. Before registering, make sure your device meets the minimum requirements; view minimum requirements here: https://support.zoom.us/hc/en-us/articles/201362023-System-Requirements-for-PC-Mac-and-Linux.

Please see your “Class Confirmation” email for more information on joining meetings.

Jackie Menne is an advocate for micros—individuals who have or want their own business or an additional source of income. Often this begins as an idea, invention, passion or mission that grows into a side hustle or job of one. She’s done both and taught hundreds of micros how to DIY everything from logo to website, social media to marketing, finding projects to finding a job. Since 2010, when Jackie opened Joule the first Minneapolis coworking space, she continues advocating for micros through classes, events and currently cyber coworking.
