Winter is fast-approaching, but that doesn't mean you have to hibernate! Leave that to the bears. The metro is full of fun, family friendly, outdoor activities if you know where to look. Get the inside scoop on the best places to hike, skate, ski and just simply be outside this winter, as well as where you can find free equipment rentals!

The morning of your class you will receive an email with your online meeting information. If your class has handouts those will be sent with your meeting information. Please see your “Class Confirmation” email for more information on joining meetings.
Heidi has vast knowledge in the camping world. She was raised in northeast Wisconsin enjoying Wisconsin state parks while camping with her family in the summers and spending winters cross country skiing, sledding and skating. Heidi has lived in the Twin Cities for past 12 years and continues her family’s outdoor traditions by exploring the state’s many natural areas. Heidi has built upon her outdoor experiences by backpacking in the arctic circle of Sweden and Norway for a 30 day adventure with the National Outdoor Leadership School, through certification as a master naturalist volunteer, and is now pursuing a masters of education in natural science and environmental education. Heidi currently works for the Three Rivers Park District Outdoor Recreation School where she spent the past five summers as an Outdoor Recreation Program Educator.
