Hearing loss and tinnitus can affect our ability to clearly hear the sounds around us and exploring the world of hearing aids can be overwhelming. Learn about the different types of hearing loss, the impact of hearing loss and tinnitus on communication, and hearing aid styles and the technology available. Information on the Telephone Equipment Distribution Program (TED) will also be provided.This course is offered in partnership with Minnesota Academy of Audiology and Minnesota Department of Human Services.

Presenters are members of the Minnesota Academy of Audiology (MAA) which is a professional organization made up of audiologists from around the state. An audiologist is a health care professional who is trained in evaluation and treatment of individuals with hearing loss, tinnitus, and balance disorders. Audiologists also dispense hearing aids.
