Yoga for Anxiety - Online Course

Learn to shift from anxious to peaceful! Flow through dynamic movement, breathing techniques, visualization and simple sounds to help focus and relax. Participants should be able to do standing postures and be able to get down on the floor and back up. Instructor consultation before first class included.

The morning of your first class session, you will receive an email with your online meeting information. If your class has handouts those will be sent with your meeting information. Please see your “Class Confirmation” email for more information on joining meetings.
Anne McDonough has been practicing yoga since 1998 and began teaching in 2006. A friend introduced her to the practice while she was recovering from a car accident, and yoga for health and healing has been a guiding force in her life ever since. In 2008, she completed the Heart of Yoga program at the Krishnamacharya Yoga Mandiram in Chennai, India, founded by T.K.V. Desikachar. Originally certified by Yoga Europa in the Czech Republic, Anne continues her studies in the 1000-Hour Yoga Therapy Certification program with Yoga Well Institute. In addition, she studies privately with Maggie Reagh of Yoga Therapy International in Vancouver, B.C. Anne is a graduate of Healing Yoga Foundation’s 500-Hour teacher training program, based in San Francisco. A passionate advocate for making healing yoga available to all populations, she is especiallyinterested in how yogacan provide us with healthy coping skills. Anne has taught for several mental health providers: Diane Ahrens Crisis Residence for PeopleIncorporated, and alsoGuild Incorporatedin St. Paul;in the Bay Area,with Kaiser Permanente’s Eating Disorders Program, Casa Serena Eating Disorders Program, the Niroga Institute, Charlotte Maxwell Complementary Clinic, and other organizations emphasizing yoga for healing. She practices yoga therapyonline and in St. Paul.
