Henry Kisitu, a cooking enthusiast originally from Uganda, loves bringing the rich traditions of Ugandan outdoor kitchens to life. He believes that food becomes special when you infuse it with positive energy, something he’s cherished throughout his life, bonding with others and showing respect for nature’s gifts.
Guided by the wisdom of his Ugandan grandmother, who was not only a healer but also skilled in making juices, Henry enjoys creating plant-based dishes inspired by his favorite childhood foods. As the founder of Jajja Wellness, he’s taken these authentic flavors and turned them into beverages with a touch of healing and wellness.
Henry’s story is about more than just cooking; it’s a tale of persistence and determination. Moving from Uganda to becoming a proud U.S. citizen, he worked hard for his education, earning a Master’s degree in Leadership through a scholarship.
In 2008, he met his wife, Alexandra, and together, they’ve built a life in Minnesota with their two lovely children. Henry wants to share the joy of Ugandan flavors and traditions with others, making his cooking classes a tasty journey into his culture and the American dream.
