1/2 Day Nature-based Pre-K

Hike through and hear about the land and the history of Saint Paul’s West Side Cherokee Park. See the Mississippi River from various lookout points. Bring binoculars to observe the birds. There will be some moderate hiking through the woods, so good walking or hiking shoes are suggested. Walk is approximately 2.8 miles on uneven terrain.
There will be few, if any, places to sit.

Troy Parkinson has a love for nature and local history. As a documentary filmmaker by trade, he has worked on projects for History Channel and Discovery Health. After exploring Twin Cities neighborhoods for years and researching their unique histories, Troy is excited to share his passion and perspective on these walking tours.
