Continue learning about bee behavior, hive management, and equipment beyond the basic woodenware and hive tool. Hear the latest buzz about bee health, swarms and simple queen rearing, and get answers to your lingering questions. Pre-requisite: Basic Beekeeping class and/or been an active beekeeper for at least one year.
JoAnne Sabin has been a beekeeper since 2005 and is an adult instructor, course developer, and mentor by profession. In addition to teaching several beekeeping courses (beginner, review, and advanced, plus specialized topics such as honey extracting) she gives presentations throughout Minnesota on bees, pollinators, and gardening topics. Her primary beekeeping course has been reviewed and approved by a representative of the University of Minnesota Bee Lab.
